Risk Disclosure
Effective: June 2026 · Version 1.0
PLEASE READ THIS RISK DISCLOSURE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE SERVICE
Trading in financial markets involves a substantial risk of loss. The information, indicators, signals and content provided by CF Trading are general in nature and are not, and are not intended to be, investment advice, financial advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument, or a substitute for advice from a qualified financial adviser regulated in your jurisdiction. You may lose some or all of the capital you commit to trading. You should only use the Service if you have read this Risk Disclosure, understand it and accept the risks involved.
1. About this Risk Disclosure
This Risk Disclosure is issued by CF Cycle Trading Limited (“CF Trading”, “we”, “our” or “us”), a company incorporated in England and Wales, with its registered office at Carrwood Park, Selby Road, Leeds LS15 4LG. It applies to your use of the CF Trading website at cftrading.co.uk and any of our content, indicators, dashboards, signals, research, briefings, member areas or related services (together, the “Service”).
This Risk Disclosure forms part of the Terms and Conditions on which we make the Service available to you. Capitalised terms used but not defined in this Risk Disclosure have the meaning given to them in the Terms and Conditions.
2. The Service is not regulated investment advice
We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) in the United Kingdom. We do not carry on any “regulated activity” within the meaning of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (“FSMA 2000”) or the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001 (“RAO”).
In particular, we do not, and the Service does not:
- provide investment advice within the meaning of Article 53 of the RAO;
- arrange (bring about) deals in investments within the meaning of Article 25 of the RAO;
- deal in investments as principal or agent;
- manage investments or operate any collective investment scheme;
- safeguard or administer investments;
- assess the suitability or appropriateness of any financial instrument for you;
- take into account your personal circumstances, objectives, financial situation, knowledge or experience;
- provide a personal recommendation to you within the meaning of MiFID II or the FCA Handbook (COBS).
The Service is generic market commentary, education and trading-indicator software. It is not, and must not be relied upon as, regulated investment advice.
3. What the Service is — and what it is not
3.1 What the Service is
- Access to CF Trading’s proprietary trading indicators, dashboards and tools, designed to highlight cycles, patterns and trends in financial markets;
- General market research, commentary and analyst briefings provided for educational and informational purposes;
- A member area and community for users who have purchased a subscription;
- Support in connection with the operation of the Service.
3.2 What the Service is not
- A personalised investment recommendation or financial advice;
- A guarantee or promise of any particular trading outcome, return, profit or performance;
- A solicitation or inducement to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument;
- A managed-account or signal-following service in which we trade on your behalf or instruct you to trade;
- A tax-planning, accounting or legal-advice service;
- A substitute for your own independent research and judgement, or for advice from a qualified financial adviser regulated in your jurisdiction.
4. General risks of trading
Trading in financial markets (including equities, equity indices, commodities, currencies, fixed-income instruments, futures, options and crypto-assets) involves substantial risk. The following non-exhaustive risks apply:
- Capital loss. You may lose some or all of the capital you commit to trading. Losses can exceed deposits in leveraged markets.
- Market volatility. Prices can move sharply and unexpectedly. Past price movements are not a reliable indicator of future price movements.
- Leverage. Where leverage is used, the risk of loss is amplified. You may lose more than your initial investment.
- Liquidity. Some markets may be illiquid at the time you wish to trade. You may not be able to close a position at the price you want, or at all.
- Counterparty and execution risk. Brokers, exchanges, custodians or other market intermediaries can fail or default. Order routing, slippage and execution delays may result in unintended outcomes.
- Tax. Tax treatment of trading depends on your individual circumstances and the law of your jurisdiction, and may change. You should take independent tax advice.
- Regulatory and market structure. Markets, products and the rules that govern them can change. New rules can affect the value, liquidity or availability of instruments.
- Technology. Trading platforms, third-party services and your own internet connection can fail. Trades may not execute as expected.
- Crypto-assets. Crypto-assets are highly volatile, largely unregulated in many jurisdictions, and can lose substantial or all value. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme does not protect crypto-asset investments.
5. Specific risks of using trading indicators and analysis tools
The CF Trading indicators and tools are designed to identify patterns, cycles and signals in historical and real-time market data. They are mathematical, statistical and rules-based — not predictive guarantees. In particular:
- No indicator is reliable in all market conditions. Indicators can perform well in trending markets and poorly in ranging markets (or vice versa). They can fail at market turning points.
- Indicators rely on data inputs. Errors in data feeds, missing data, broker quote differences or platform outages can produce misleading signals.
- Cycle-based analysis is a heuristic. There is no underlying scientific guarantee that historical cycles will continue in any particular form.
- Back-tested or hypothetical performance is not real performance. Back-tested results are calculated with the benefit of hindsight, do not reflect actual trading and may not include the effects of slippage, commission, taxes, and live execution constraints.
- Indicator outputs are general. They are calculated on market data without reference to your portfolio, your risk profile, your timeframe or your objectives.
- You bear all execution responsibility. Even if you choose to act on an indicator output, the decision to enter, manage or exit a trade is yours alone.
6. Past performance does not predict future results
Any reference to past performance of an indicator, model, signal, market, instrument, strategy or third party — whether on our website, in our content, in our marketing or in any back-test — is for illustrative and educational purposes only. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance. You should not assume that an indicator or strategy that has worked in the past will work in the future.
7. Who the Service is — and is not — for
The Service is intended for adult users (aged 18 or over) who:
- have prior experience of trading in financial markets, or have undertaken sufficient education and research to understand the risks;
- can absorb the loss of the capital they commit to trading without affecting their financial wellbeing or ability to meet their financial commitments;
- are not relying on us for advice on whether to enter into any particular trade or whether any particular instrument is suitable for them; and
- have read, understood and accepted this Risk Disclosure.
The Service is not suitable for, and is not intended for use by:
- persons under the age of 18;
- persons who cannot afford to lose the capital they commit to trading;
- persons whose primary need is for personalised investment advice — such persons should consult an FCA-authorised financial adviser;
- persons resident in any jurisdiction in which the Service would be unlawful;
- persons trading on behalf of others without lawful regulatory permission to do so.
8. We do not give personal recommendations
Our content is published to a general audience. It is not adapted to the particular circumstances of any individual. We do not consider your knowledge, experience, financial situation, investment objectives, risk tolerance or any other personal factors. Nothing we say or publish should be treated as a personal recommendation to you within the meaning of MiFID II or the FCA Handbook (COBS).
If you require a personal recommendation, you should consult an FCA-authorised independent financial adviser who is qualified to give it.
9. Independent advice
You should seek your own independent legal, tax, financial and investment advice from suitably qualified professionals before acting on any information, indicator or content provided through the Service. If you are unsure whether trading is suitable for you, you should not trade.
10. Affiliate, third-party and promotional content
From time to time we may publish content on our website or through our marketing channels (including emails, newsletters, social media and third-party platforms) that links to, references or promotes products or services provided by us or by third parties. Where required, such content will be clearly identified as a financial promotion in compliance with applicable FCA rules and ASA / CAP Code guidance. The promotion of any product or service does not constitute a personal recommendation and you should always read the relevant terms and risk warnings before purchasing.
11. Compensation schemes do not apply
Because we do not carry on any regulated activity, you are not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (“FSCS”) or the Financial Ombudsman Service (“FOS”) in respect of the Service. You may, however, be entitled to bring a complaint to other appropriate bodies in respect of consumer-protection matters (see the Terms and Conditions for our complaints procedure).
12. Use of the Service is your acknowledgement
By using the Service, you confirm that:
- you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure;
- you understand the risks of trading in financial markets;
- you understand that the Service is generic, not personalised, and is not regulated investment advice;
- you have considered whether the Service is suitable for you in light of your circumstances; and
- you accept full responsibility for your own trading and investment decisions.
13. Changes
We may update this Risk Disclosure from time to time. The latest version will always be available at cftrading.co.uk. We will tell you about material changes by email or via the Service. By continuing to use the Service after a change, you accept the updated Risk Disclosure.
